ULI Fall Meeting Scholarship Winners: Part Three – How the WLI Prologis Scholarship gave this Toronto member a unique 2016 Fall Meeting experience

Print

By Salima Rawji, Build Toronto             Shortly after I returned from the Fall Meeting in Dallas, our local Toronto Metro News began a series of articles addressing the gross underrepresentation of women on corporate boards. It was at that moment, the true opportunity of the WLI Prologis Scholarship hit me. I had just returned home from a week of being surrounded by women who exude inspiration, ingenuity and, of course, leadership. I was instantly aware of how rare an opportunity it was to have witnessed … Read More

FY16 Annual Report Released

Cover_AnnualReport

ULI Toronto is pleased to announce the release of our FY16 Annual Report. This Annual Report goes beyond providing detail of the fiscal year past and points to how we will leverage this momentum to deliver greater impact to our urban region in the year ahead. Two major milestones of the past year signaled a direction for our future. The Fall 2015 Symposium identified three important intersecting lenses through which we will drive our mission to advance the responsible use of land: mobility, placemaking and technology. The other was the … Read More

Remembering Rob Ford (1969 – 2016)

RobFord_ULI

ULI Toronto conveys its deepest sympathies to Rob Ford’s family today.  The former mayor captured the sentiment of many Torontonians and, in doing so, transcended politics-as-usual and became the symbol of a civic force. Undoubtedly, Ford Nation will survive the life of a man who gave voice to many. In death, he will remain a potent political force and a powerful reminder that a great city must lift all boats. His legacy, though controversial, is a legitimate one. (Photo: ULI Toronto Mayoral debate, 2010)
