Midwinter Trustees and Key Leaders Meeting

In a mark of ULI’s growing global reach, the Midwinter Trustees and Key Leaders Meeting attracted about 150 senior industry leaders to Paris in early February, with half of the participants hailing from outside the United States. Quality of Infrastructure Is Key to Real Estate Development Decisions

The quality of infrastructure systems—including transportation, utilities, and telecommunications—is the most important factor influencing real estate investment and development decisions in cities around the world, according to a survey of public sector and private sector leaders conducted by the Urban Land Institute and EY. Top 10 Reasons to Invest in Ontario

At the recent ULI Fall Meeting in Chicago, ULI Toronto member Ed Sajecki (Commissioner of Planning & Building for the City of Mississauga) presented his case for investing in Ontario and specifically the GTA.   The panel discussion also included representatives from Chicago, Hamberg, Mexico City and Seoul.   In the end, the audience felt that Ed’s presentation was the clear winner and that they would invest in Toronto over all the other cities.
