Members Only: Schulich Mini-Lecture Series on City Building
THE RISE OF THE SHARING ECONOMY
Wednesday May 24, 2017: 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm
As the pace of urbanization escalates, we must make better use of what we have; consume far less; reduce our environmental footprint; question why we have to own everything we need to use. We are already seeing evidence of transformational change within our cities driven by the ‘shared economy’. Sharing is not new to cities, but the digital world is giving rise to new sharing possibilities never considered even a decade ago.
At this ULI member-only event, get a glimpse of the type of city-building issues that Masters in Real Estate and Infrastructure (MREI) students at Schulich are tackling as Professor James McKellar shares his latest thinking on the possibilities for a more socially just, inclusive, and environmentally efficient city rooted in a culture of sharing.
