Online Models for Community Engagement Emerge

ULI Toronto’s Young Leaders Group volunteered at the Evergreen Brickworks on June 19, 2013, to help with maintaining the landscaped areas on the grounds. A group of 20+ Young Leaders and guests rolled up their sleeves and worked together to ”build soil” – a process to add nutrients and stabilize soil to reduce soil erosion and promote healthier plants. Everyone had a fun time working together and many felt proud to help Evergreen improve the natural environment. To top this off, the late spring weather was ideal for working outdoors and enjoying the Don Valley’s landscape.
