There’s something special about connecting with like-minded individuals passionate about city building against the backdrop of one of the most stunning views of Toronto’s skyline. Now in its 7th year, the ULI Summer Social took place at Lavelle, currently King West’s most prominent rooftop hospitality venue. The July 13th event was supported by Cushman & Wakefield, Harris Sheaffer (bar sponsors), architectsAlliance, Hullmark, Triangles (cabana sponsors), Diamond Schmitt, GBCA, Rumble (supporting sponsors), and ZToday (partner sponsor).

Freed Development and Trademark Hospitality conceived Lavelle as a lifestyle hub boasting a rooftop restaurant, expansive bars, and a sprawling outdoor patio with three pools and semi-private cabanas. The design allows the space to host a variety of gatherings.

A successful event is heavily dependent on three key elements: venue, refreshments, and people. The ULI Summer Social has consistently been one of the most anticipated annual networking soirees because it nails all three components. From the careful choice of venue that facilitates conversation pertaining to urban development and the gourmet hors d’oeuvres served throughout, the social offers an unique opportunity to rub shoulders with professionals from a wide spectrum of sectors from finance, academia, legal, development, urban planning, institutional, investments, engineering, architecture and design.

Echoes of revelry reverberated across the cascading rooftop pools as the sun sets across the urban horizon. New connections were made while old ones were revitalized. Till the next one.
