Tour of the Kimpton Saint George Hotel
Like Toronto, the Kimpton Saint George is easy on the eyes at first glance. On further inspection, however, you’ll see there’s so much more than just a handsome facade. Clever design details, architectural flourishes and more than a little bit of local character give this hotel its unique personality. A sophisticated-yet-playful respite along the Bloor Street Culture Corridor bridging luxurious elements of bordering Yorkville with the bohemian hipness of the Annex. As central to the hotel’s design story, virtually all of the art pieces are original works by Canadian artists, and every finish, colour selection, piece of furniture and object has meaning and a story to make guests feel the warmth and community of Toronto. The hotel restaurant, The Fortunate Fox, is a hip gastropub that offers a familiar yet refreshing experience.
The Kimpton Hotel & Restaurant Group is a US based boutique hotel and restaurant brand, specializing in pulling in elements from their local community into their hotels to make them feel one-of-a-kind. They have partnered with InnVest Hotels, the owner of the property, after striving to establish their brand in Toronto for a number of years. The Saint George is the first Kimpton hotel in Canada, currently operating 65 hotels in the United States, with new hotels having been announced for Los Angeles, Paris, Grenada, Bali, Shanghai, Sanya, and Taipei.
