Join ULI Toronto for a two-day tour as we investigate Picton, Prince Edward County and the lessons it offers future rural developments in Ontario and across Canada.
The roaring economies of urban Ontario are radiating ever more into rural communities, bringing exciting opportunities for investment and development to smaller towns and villages. The Town of Picton in bucolic Prince Edward County is the middle of a remarkable economic and rural master planning transformation that is leveraging historic civic (and military) assets in the advancement of Ontario’s largest rural land development this decade – including Base 31 and the Royal Hotel. Success is found in the balance of old and new as capital investments marry up with the legacy charm and culture of this community.
