The manner in which we consult and engage has been drastically altered by COVID-19. Since in-person meetings are no longer deemed safe by public health officials, project teams have had to quickly adopt new tactics to engage with stakeholders and the public.
ULI has assembled a panel of experts with backgrounds in facilitation, planning, and development, who are working on notable projects including Downsview, Housing Now, and the Christies site. Together they will showcase how they’re relying on new virtual tools, and traditional methods like the telephone and mail to engage and build consensus. Panelists will share their observations and highlight lessons that can be applied during the pandemic, as well as enduring aspects that could be considered post-pandemic.
