COVID-19 has had a major impact on the way that we use and interact with physical space. It has forced many businesses to operate remotely, and the world’s largest work from home experiment has proven it can be done effectively in most cases. This has forced companies to re-think their use of physical office space: some are evaluating whether the same amount of physical space is needed to run their business productively and some are considering, if not already deciding, to give up their spaces entirely and move towards a remote work model.

As the Province begins lifting restrictions respecting the physical use of space and in-person interactions, commercial real estate professionals and businesses are wondering what considerations and effects this disruption will have in the short term as offices begin to reopen, as well as in the longer term.

Join ULI's multidisciplinary panel of experts, as they offer insights from their diverse yet complementary perspectives on:
    • The impacts of COVID-19 on the office leasing market.
    • Challenges and opportunities that have emerged for employers and employees.
    • How workplaces can be (re)designed to accommodate the new requirements, become more resilient, and ensure the health and safety of their tenants.
