Ontario municipalities are presently undertaking their Official Plan updates to bring them into conformity with Provincial plans, policies, and growth forecasts. In the context of growing social inequities and acknowledgement of systemic barriers to opportunity for minority groups, Urban Planners are tasked with using the opportunity of official plan reviews to incorporate diversity, equity, inclusion, and reconciliation (DEIR) policies into the Official Plan.
Join ULI Toronto as we explore the ways that DEIR objectives are being advanced in the planning frameworks of other cities across North America.
This webinar will highlight several different approaches to integrating DEIR considerations into the planning process.
