Winner of the Urban Land Institute’s 2021 Global Awards for Excellence, Toronto’s Alexandra Park Revitalization, a triumph of a community-led vision, attracts international acclaim. Inspired by community members seeking to take control of the potential and evolution of an 18-acre social housing complex in the central city, the revitalization was born out of a vision for a ‘mixed community with different housing types and land uses, improved accessibility to shopping and community services, economic development opportunities, enhanced community safety, and a greener, more sustainable community’.

Join ULI Toronto as we explore the origin story of this most unique grassroots city building initiative that has now earned international acclaim.
