Join ULI Toronto as we learn about Montreal’s development landscape through presentations and walking tours led by Montreal’s leading city builders. From downtown Montreal to the Lachine Canal, discover Montreal as a cultural and historic hub with some of the leading experts who have shaped it into the bustling metropolis it is today.
Friday, June 14th

Tour will commence at 10:30am Friday will start with a moderated panel discussion on the development, planning, and architecture landscape in Montreal. Panelists will include Nancy Duton, McGill University, Azad Chichmanian of NEUF Architect(e)s, Anthony Broccolini of BROCCOLINI, and Claire DuRocher of Miller Thomson LLP. Following the panel discussion, registrants will be led on a walking tour through downtown Montreal and the Old Port. Friday’s tour will conclude with a presentation from Pierre-Marc Mongeau of Canada Lands Corporation on the extensive Silo No. 5 redevelopment project along the waterfront. In the evening we will explore the Aura at the Notre Dame Basilica, with Moment Factory.
Lunch & dinner will be provided as part of the registration fee.
Over brunch, hear from Hugo Gagnon of NEUF Architect(e)s on the planning and development history of Griffintown, a creative neighbourhood with a vibrant arts scene, comprised of converted warehouses and new condo developments. Following brunch, registrants will be led on a walking tour through Griffintown and along the Lachine Canal. The tour will conclude at a pub in Atwater Market area, marking the end of the formal exchange programming. Brunch and a light snack will be provided as part of the registration fee. An optional pub crawl will be organized in Montreal’s Mile End neighbourhood and will be pay as you go. Saturday brunch & late lunch will be provided as part of the registration fee.
Tour will conclude at 3:30pm
