COVID-19 presents unprecedented challenges in how we use spaces to live and work. The Toronto Region Board of Trade and ULI Toronto invite all of those invested in overcoming these challenges to co-create solutions at the Retrofitting Our Urban Region symposium.

The symposium is divided into two parts:

Wednesday, June 24 from 12–1pm: Hear insights informed by the breakout sessions and learn how these ideas could support economic and social recovery in the Toronto region.

Don't miss this an opportunity to participate in city-building by directly engaging with key leaders and decision-makers.

The symposium is also a product of the Board’s Reimagining Recovery framework – a plan rooted in expert insights, designed in collaboration with government and industry leaders and organized around six priority work tracks essential to recovering from this pandemic and preparing for future economic shocks. This webcast will report out the early recommendations of Track 3: Retrofitting Our Urban Region, which ULI Toronto co-chairs.

Tuesday, June 23 from 9–11 am (Members-Only): Attendees will work together in participatory virtual breakout rooms to recommend how to retrofit the physical realm of our region, as more and more people begin moving beyond their homes to work, play, worship, travel and beyond.

    9:00–9:30am: Plenary Session
    9:30–11:00am: Breakout Session

Each breakout room will be led by experts and leaders in subjects ranging from social equity to civic engagement.
