Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury : Mayor Keffer
Sitting atop the northern boundary of the GTA, Bradford West Gwillimbury (BWG) is one of the fastest-growing municipalities in Canada. Situated on the rich black soils of the Holland Marsh, BWG has thrived on an agricultural legacy as one of the nation’s leading vegetable producers. As more and more industries converge on BWG for its available land and strategic location between Barrie and the GTA, BWG is determined to welcome new manufacturing while preserving – and enhancing – its agricultural bounty.
Mayor Rob Keffer and a panel will discuss the strategies put in place to enhance both agriculture and industrial development through the implementation of a new Official Plan and comprehensive municipal review at the County level. Panelists will highlight the investments in infrastructure that are necessary to ensure managed growth. Topics will include discussion of the Highway 400 Employment Lands, municipal servicing, and the Government of Ontario’s Highway 400-404 Link.
