As a member-based organization, none of our work would be possible without the support of our volunteer committees. Our committees are composed of ULI members active in the field of land use and real estate and are chaired by dedicated ULI leaders that have been appointed by staff and our board.
The Urban Land Institute’s Toronto District Council is committed to advancing ULI’s mission to provide leadership in the responsible use of land and in creating and sustaining thriving communities worldwide. ULI Toronto is the leading multidisciplinary real estate organization in the region for expanding your network and increasing your industry knowledge.
A key objective of ULI Toronto is to increase diversity and inclusion in our organization and in the real estate and land use industries. The Communications Committee elevates ULI’s external visibility, the ULI brand, and the global ULI mission by developing strategies, campaigns, and messaging to communicate ULI’s value to the industry, sponsors, members and the public across many platforms.
The Sponsorship Committee identifies, develops, and promotes sponsors of ULI Toronto and works closely with the Management Committee on strategy and implementation. The committee maintains ongoing relationships with sponsors to ensure ROI satisfaction and continuation of their sponsorship in years to come.
WLI Toronto amplifies women’s voices and ideas in the debates of the day, connecting and convening to increase the number and visibility of women in leadership roles at ULI Toronto and the industry at large.
The Student Committee is comprised of students from various real estate and development-related faculties who are currently in attendance at local universities. These student representatives act as a liaison between students and ULI, promoting ULI programs and events, providing feedback on existing programs and helping to brainstorm, plan and organize new student-targeted events.
ULI aims for a membership community that is diverse, active, and brings their wealth of experience to events and discussions. The Committee supports this goal through recruitment, engagement, and retention strategies with new and prospective members.
Help crowdsource fresh insights and advice for public land use challenges. Get involved in convening probono industry experts and community stakeholders in Technical Assistance Panels (TAPs).
Help give members fresh perspectives and new answers to challenges by conceiving of and organizing events, tours, workshops and more.
