A tour featuring one of the last major redevelopment opportunities in the downtown. The former industrial site, located just south of King Street W off Tecumseth Street, will come alive over the next several years with more than 900 new homes, 1.95 acres of public space, a new multi-use bike path, retail and commercial office spaces and a district heating and cooling system.
The revitalization plans include the transformation of the currently abandoned garbage incinerator known as the Wellington Destructor into a place for culture and creativity. TAS, one of Canada’s only B-Corp Developers, is leading this exciting city building project and will share their vision along with partners CreateTO and PUBLIC WORK. The tour will include a visit of the Wellington Destructor site, the former Toronto Abattoir, the Fort York precinct and The Bentway.
